The Friends of Patterson Dog Park are in the application process of trying to establish a Dog Park within Patterson Park and we have a dog steering committee comprising residents that surround the park. We are working within the guidelines set forth by the Department of Parks & Recreation.

Current Status:

• We currently have approval from Patterson Park Neighborhood Association, Canton Community Association, Butchers Hill Community Association, and Upper Fells Point.
• The formal application has been submitted
• The Need for Dog Parks Highlighted on WBAL-TV
• The Friends of Patterson Dog Park attended the hearing on "The Future of Dog Parks in Baltimore City" on July 16th. About eight people spoke very powerfully in favor of dog parks (including our group, Friends of Latrobe Dog Park, and Friends of Canton Dog Park).

• Mission Statement

  To establish an open area, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. To develop a beautiful, well- maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Baltimore, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike.
